Această casă vernil este a noastră. Are două etaje, o sufragerie, o bucătărie şi două băi. Locuiesc în această casă cu mama, tata, bunica, Ana şi Mihai. În această cameră este Ana. Camera e a ei. Biroul ei este maro. Pe birou vedeţi carţile ei. Acum Ana citeşte o carte. Curând va pleca la şcoală.
The translation into English:
This lime green house is ours. It has two floors, a dining room, a kitchen and two bathrooms. I reside in this house with my mother, my father, my grandmother, Ana and Mihai. In this room is Ana. The room is hers. Her bureau is brown. On the bureau you can see her books. Now Ana is reading a book. Soon she will go to school.
Grammar:
I) Observe the use of the possessive adjectives in the expressions “casa noastră”, “biroul ei”, “carţile ei”. The possessive adjectives have the same forms like the possessive pronouns, but without the possessive article.
II) The verb “a locui” is conjugated as same as the verb “a citi”. But when we write it we add the letter “i” to its theme for the first person singular, second person singular, third person singular and plural: eu locuiesc, tu locuieşti, el/ea locuieşte, ei/ele locuiesc.
III) The singular definite article for the neuter nouns ending in u semivowel is l. It is attached directly to the noun. For example: biroul.
