The goal of this blog is to provide some information about Romania, Romanians, Romanian language to people that are interested in this subject.
Romania is a country in the east of Europe, a former communist country. We call our country România. I was born and raised in a small town in the west of the country, near the former Yugoslavia. I was born in the communist period and I lived for 14 years in that regime. I will talk a lot about that period in my articles. I think it would be interesting for people who never lived in such a regime to hear about the experiences of people who did. As a child, I had my own point of view on the communist experience. As an adult, I have a different point of view. But I will talk more about my point of view as a child. Of course, the communist experience was not good, but we learn from our experiences, good or bad.
The Romanians are like other people, but have some unique traits. I will talk about that too. “Român” is an inhabitant of Romania.
You probably saw my Romanian course. In this blog I will provide some additional information on the Romanian language. I want to point here some aspects of this language that is hard enough for the foreigners to learn.
